The spatial composition is created as an inversion of the existing Žanis Lipke memorial, in which the bunker is its spatially compositional and semantic center. Reversing the meaning of the bunker as a spatial archetype from a place where you can hide alone or isolate yourself in fear, the proposal intends to create a new space for meeting, sharing and learning both for those who have already developed courage and those who are looking for it.

The spatial composition of the volumes is based on the transformation of the bunker element in both a geometric and symmetrical sense. The geometrically existing bunker of the Žanis Lipke memorial is like an axis that crosses the space vertically. This axis idea is derived in the presentation and interpretation of the art of courage.

The volume of the street is intended for public function as an inviting cozy space, a tea house with natural fire and light. Above ground, it is connected to the educational center – the bright house, where you can be motivated and challenged to overcome difficulties, which is spatially accentuated by vertically into-the-air pointing “bunker”. Spatially implementing the idea of inversion of the bunker, a multifunctional hall with an element of vertical interaction – a skylight – is placed in the basement level.
